ICSURO REPRESENTATIVES ATTEND A MEETING IN BRUSSELS ON THE ENCORK PROJECT

On December 15 and 16, two representatives of the Cork Center they attended the project meeting CORK which was held in Brussels.

The aim of the project is to develop a system that allows wine bottling companies better quality control for their product.

This system is known as ENCORK and is based on odor detection technology, successfully applied in electronic noses, which allow detecting very low levels of concentration of volatile organic compounds.

The use of an electronic nose should serve to continue to bet on quality, making cork the preferred choice of both bottlers and consumers.

The main purpose of the meeting was to follow up on the technical progress of the project with the European Commission Project Officer and the external reviewer.
