More than 30,000 corks recovered during the first quarter of the cork recycling pilot test
The corks were collected during the months of November, December and January in the municipalities of Cassà de la Selva and Palafrugell, the sites of the pilot test that the Catalan Cork Institute Foundation chose to test a cork collection system.

It is found that sparkling wines that undergo a second fermentation with cork obtain a distinctive feature.
The results were presented in an informative tasting at Barcelona Wine Week led by the companies that have promoted the project. The GO SensoVI scientific project has brought together the wine and cork sectors to investigate and verify the impact of the cork stopper on the second fermentation of wines.
