The president of the Catalan Cork Institute, Joan Puig, gave the inaugural conference of the International Cork Fair (FICOR) with the presentation “Global efforts to value cork in uncertain markets and turbulent times”.

During his speech, he highlighted the strategic importance of cork as a natural and sustainable material, as well as the need to continue promoting valorization initiatives capable of strengthening the sector's positioning in an international context marked by uncertainty and changes in global markets.

The conference also served to vindicate the potential of the cork sector as an economic, environmental and territorial driver, highlighting the need to promote innovation, international cooperation and knowledge transfer as key tools to face future challenges.

Over three days, FICOR has consolidated itself as one of the reference spaces for technical debate, the exchange of experiences and the promotion of the sector, bringing together companies, institutions and professionals linked to the world of cork in an environment of reflection and collaboration.
