The project aims to evaluate the potential of recycled corks as a sports surface for a warm-up area with artificial turf. Natural grass has traditionally been the surface of football and training fields, but many regions of the world have a climate that makes it very difficult and expensive to properly maintain a natural grass field. Furthermore, modern specially designed football stadiums have a roof under which natural grass pitches do not thrive.
