The objective of the action is to bring together a relevant group of experts linked to the cork sector in order to reflect on which R&D actions related to this bioproduct would be necessary in order to face the 4 priority lines of 2014: Sustainable management of forest systems for obtaining bioproducts in the framework of the promotion of the Bioeconomy". This action is proposed with a multidisciplinary character and aims to make an in-depth analysis of the current situation of the sustainability part, especially the control of diseases and resistance to abiotic agents (fire), and the production and transformation of cork (forest chain - industry).
