ICSURO: Organization committed to the fight against climate change

The Catalan Institute of Cork (ICSuro), renews its commitment for the third consecutive year to be part of the Program of voluntary agreements for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).

The Program of Voluntary Agreements for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) is a tool driven by theCatalan Climate Change Office (OCCC) for those seeking a voluntary commitment to reduce their GHG emissions beyond what is required by regulation.

By means of an Agreement, the organizations, entities and collectives that adhere commit to monitoring their GHG emissions and annually establishing measures to reduce their GHG emissions.

The ICSuro renews the seal presenting an inventory corresponding to 2017 which has reduced its total emissions by 44% compared to the previous year (2016). This large decrease is explained by the change from an electricity marketer to a green electricity marketer.
