From the Institut Català del Suro, it is understood that the formation in the matter of cork it is essential to train professionals who know the properties and benefits of using cork. During the training days in March, two sessions were held: on March 23, students from CETT and on March 30 to students of the sommelier course of the URV.
Accredited laboratory with number 675 in the Register of agri-food laboratories of Catalonia (DOGC no. 5433 -31/07/2009).
The functions of ICSuro are to stimulate the development of the sector, contribute to research and knowledge of the sector, define and present proposals for action to the competent bodies and other actions to develop, favor and promote the Catalan cork sector.
