Defining a clear strategy is essential to move forward meaningfully, align efforts and transform the vision into tangible results. With this objective, the Catalan Institute of Cork Foundation has begun the process of developing its Strategic Plan – Vision 2027.
This initiative is part of the Foundation's new stage, under the direction ofAlba Balcells, with the aim of building a shared roadmap that allows for coordinated progress towards common objectives and generate a greater impact on the cork sector.
In this context, a first working session was held with the management and team of the Foundation to begin defining the strategic lines of the plan. The session was facilitated byAngel Gutierrez, director of Breakthrough, consultancy specializing in transformation and change management.

The session has been conceived as a space for structured reflection on the medium-term future of the Institute, and as a turning point to address key challenges such as:
- the reconciliation between operational management and change management,
- maximizing impact and optimizing resources,
- the evolution towards a more efficient management model,
- and the incorporation of SWOT analysis as a basis for strategic decision-making.
This first step establishes solid foundations for the growth of the Foundation and to highlight everything that FICSuro can contribute to the sector, reinforcing its role as a key agent of knowledge, innovation and impact.
