The cork traditionally used to cover caves (agglomerated cork cork with two natural cork discs) continues to advance in its line of continuous improvement and quality assurance that place it in a good position among the different alternatives that have appeared in the market The good performance of this cork is ensured thanks to both the demanding quality controls and the studies and projects that are continuously carried out by cork industries and wineries.

The company Caves Nadal together with the Institut Català del Suro has carried out a study to find out the evolution of the cork and the internal pressure of the bottle in the 37.5 cl format 24 months after being opened the bottle The study combined two variables: storage position of the bottle (vertical – horizontal) and the type of surface treatment applied to the cap (3 different types).
