The Darnius City Council promotes the "Cultural Capital of Cork" project, in the area of Catalonia, in order to disseminate the cork product in the municipality throughout 2025.

The starting shot will be given on April 19th at the Teatre la Societat la Concordia with an inaugural event open to the entire public.

The municipal initiative has the support of the Girona Provincial Council and the Alt Empordà Regional Council and the collaboration of the Cork Museum of Catalonia, the Catalan Cork Institute and the Forestry Consortium of Catalonia.

In total, the council is launching more than fifteen activities focused on the theme for the coming months.
