The Very Honorable President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Joseph Rull, visited today the headquarters of the Institut Català del Suro Foundation in Palafrugell to learn about its research and innovation work and the lines of work it carries out to grow the cork sector in Catalonia.

It has been received by the president of the Institut Català del Suro Foundation, Joan J. Puig and by a representation of its board made up of the Illustrious Mayoress of Palafrugell, Laura Millán and Mr. William Genover . Also present were the director of the Institut Català del Suro, Albert Hereu, and the workers of the foundation.

The President of the Parliament was able to visit the facilities of the Cork Center Laboratory in order to know all the services and research projects linked to cork and to the wine that are carried out there and subsequently met with the board of trustees of the foundation, where he was given a gift and the main challenges that the sector currently faces in general and the institution in particular.
