Estel Campmajó, research and development technician at the Catalan Cork Institute, participated in the Rotary Green Meeting Girona with the presentation “FUTURECORK: radiography of the cork sector”.
The session focused on the potential of the bioeconomy, the valorization of wasted material flows and recycling as drivers for generating new applications and industrial opportunities.
The importance of dissemination to raise awareness of the value of cork and the need to improve the management of cork groves, in a context of transformation of the sector and the territory, has also been highlighted.
