The Catalan Cork Institute, represented by its president Joan J. Puig, has attended the presentation of the Barcelona Wine Week 2023 where he was able to exchange a few words about the corkscrew project with the Minister of Agriculture Luis Planas.

The Foundation will be back sustainability partner of the most important wine event in the state recycling corks for circular economy projects and will participate in the technical sessions talking about "Ecodesign, the new ally for sustainability".

The next edition of Barcelona Wine Week, which will take place from 6 to February 2023 in the Montjuïc area of Fira de Barcelona, will bring together the Spanish wine sector to offer business opportunities, analyze future challenges and give visibility to the country's great wealth of soils and its winemaking potential.

The event will be the first major event of the year for the sector and will have the participation of 700 wineries, 15% more than in the 2022 edition, and 60 Denominations of Origin and other quality seals.
